WHEN: Saturday, June 8th |10:30 am- 2:30 pm WHERE: Next Level Strength & Movement INSTRUCTOR: Daniel Cortez ![]() THE EXPERIENCE Put yourself in the expert hands of a certified WHM Instructor to learn the 3 pillars of the Wim Hof Method: Breathing Technique, Cold Exposure, & Commitment. Find out how you can utilize oxygen and cold exposure to optimize body & mind and learn about the underlying physiology that makes the seemingly impossible possible. The intimate quality allows for ample personal attention, and feedback tailored to your specific situation. Whether you are looking to improve mental or physical performance, relieve symptoms related to an illness, or are just curious to find out what the Wim Hof Method is all about— a WHM workshop offers something for everyone. The program kicks off with an introduction to the Wim Hof Method, and always includes a breathing session and an (optional) ice bath. At the end there is ample room for reflection, and the Instructor is there to answer questions throughout the workshop. WHO IS THE WORKSHOP FOR? This workshop is suitable for everyone, but does require a basic level of health. Out of precaution, we advise against participation during pregnancy, or if you are epileptic. People with cardiovascular issues, or any other serious health conditions should always consult a medical professional before starting the Wim Hof Method. If you have no prior experience with cold exposure, we recommend you finish your showers cold in the days leading up to the workshop. This may be overwhelming at first, but just try to relax, focus on your breath, and bring it into a controlled, steady rhythm. WHAT TO BRING Towel, bathing suit, change of clothes, a light snack, journal and pen. ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Daniel Cortez is one of the first Wim Hof Method Master Instructors, Primal Health Coach, and Certified Personal Trainer obsessed with fitness, human performance, and athletics. In college, Daniel began to experience health problems. For several years after college he pursued teaching and coaching at the high school level, but found his health unraveling. Daniel's chronic health battle lasted 15 years and led him to becoming fascinated with evolutionary biology, anthropology, nutrition, and movement. Most importantly, he found his calling to help guide others on their own health and wellness journeys. Daniel's battle with illness, combined with working for years as a teacher and earning a law degree, has allowed him to craft effective "big-picture" solutions for his clients. During his long battle with chronic illness, Daniel gained a greater appreciation for the importance of viewing the world through the collective lens of evolutionary biology and anthropology. This understanding helps Daniel teach people how to live and move like a healthy human being. The emphasis is always on a mindful approach to the journey. Daniel coaches clients 1-on-1 online and in-person and leads workshops and retreats. He currently resides in Cusco, Peru. Education: J.D.
